About Swish and Net

swishandnet is a factual resource for followers of basketball. It provides coverage of the game, the seasons it sits in, and the standings it moves. The site reports on leagues, seasons, teams, players and their movement, and the rules of the game itself. Its sections include current news, college basketball, where to watch, international competitions, and the sport's history and records. The content is intended for readers in North America and anyone seeking clear information.

All news stories on swishandnet are produced from named, publicly available sources. Reports are rewritten for clarity and brevity, with links provided to the original material. Where possible, facts are checked against multiple sources before publication. Every article carries a clear publication date, and nothing within a story is invented, speculated, or presented as exclusive.

The site builds permanent reference pages from the news coverage. These include detailed entries for teams, players, seasons, coaches, awards, arenas, conferences, and the draft. Each reference page is built around a core facts table, is divided into logical sections, and features at least one real photograph with a clear credit. These pages are updated as the real-world situations they document change, such as after a trade or at the conclusion of a season.

This website is independent and is not affiliated with any league, team, broadcaster, or commercial organisation it reports on. You will find no betting odds, tips, or promotional content alongside its factual reporting. If an error is published, a correction is made promptly and noted openly on a dedicated corrections page.
